Asthma First Aid Training

Asthma First Aid for the general public

If you are interested in completing an Asthma First Aid course you are welcome to join our Sports & Recreation Asthma Emergency Training. This session covers all aspects of Asthma First Aid, as well as a component on Exercise Induced Asthma.

February Friday 12th. Time 10am-11am
February Monday 15th. Time 6pm-7pm
March Thursday 11th. Time 1pm-2pm
April Wednesday 7th. Time 10am-11am
May Tuesday 11th. Time 1pm-2pm
May Monday 17th. Time 6pm-7pm
June Friday 4th. Time 10am-11am
July Thursday 8th. Time 1pm-2pm
August Wednesday 4th. Time 10am-11am
August Monday 16th. Time 6pm-7pm
September Tuesday 14th. Time 1pm-2pm
October Friday 8th. Time 10am-11am
October Monday 18th. Time 6pm-7pm
November Thursday 4th. Time 1-2pm

Sports & Recreation Asthma Emergency Training

 

Training is provided at a location of your choice or at the Asthma Foundation of South Australia and takes an hour to complete. The training is provided by an experienced educator and covers the following topics:

 

  • Definition of asthma
  • Signs and symptoms of asthma
  • Common asthma triggers
  • Identifying asthma symptoms in children and adults
  • Assessing the severity of an asthma attack
  • Asthma First Aid
  • Use of Asthma First Aid Kit

The Asthma First Aid protocol taught by the Asthma Foundation of SA is recognised by the Asthma Foundations of Australia, The Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand and the National Asthma Council.
