Early Career Researcher Grant
The Asthma Foundation of SA’s Early Career Researcher Grant provides
funds to encourage a new researcher (an individual who has NOT previously been
named as a principal investigator in an accepted national competitive grant).
Applications have now closed and are in the process of being reviewed.
Purpose of the Award
The purpose of the Award is to assist an early career researcher to undertake research
related to asthma from an epidemiological, clinical, basic scientific or social perspective.
Effective asthma research holds the key to improved lifestyles for many people diagnosed with asthma.
Applications are invited for an Asthma Foundation of SA Early Career Research Grant.
The research, which must be undertaken in South Australia, may be related to asthma
from an epidemiological, clinical, basic scientific or social perspective.
The grant, up to $25,000 will be awarded only to an individual and institution with
access to appropriate research facilities under the supervision of a responsible
investigator. The grant may cover salary for research, technical, or other assistance as
well as the cost of minor equipment, materials and other necessary items.
The Foundation is keen to encourage new researchers in commencing their research
careers. The grant will be considered and assessed upon merit.
